"Loves Me, Loves Me Not"
The inspiration for this painting came while I was visiting a friend in Seattle, Washington. I was out for a walk on a June afternoon, it had been raining all morning and the sun had finally managed to break through the cloud bank. I started down a new street that I hadn't explored yet and as I passed by an alley something bright and moving caught my eye. I turned to look and there was a sea of giant Daisies, they were quite tall but it was the actual flower that struck me, they were huge! They were glowing in the sunlight as they swayed in the breeze. I probably stood there for about 20 minutes completely mesmerized, that was one of the most breathtaking scenes I have ever come across. I think what made it so stunning was the simplicity of it and thefact that something so ordinary and often overlooked was absolutely spectacular in that moment. This was simply a tribute to such a happy surprise!
